Pinterest Recipe Success

Confession time.  I'm officially a pinterest addict.  I could spend daaaays on pinterest, ending up in some internet black-hole of toilet paper roll crafts, slow cooker recipes and DIY jumbo photo prints.
While I do pin a whole lot of recipes, there are few I actually try (aside from this one!)
Tonight, after a plea for "more vegetables please!!" from my husband (there's a new Italian bakery on our block...'nuff said), I went ahead and tried Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower.

This is "shut the effing door" good people.  Like crazy yummy and incredibly easy.  I altered the recipe a little bit as I'm a bit of a spice wimp.  I used the same amounts of everything in the recipe, but added about a tablespoon of ketchup and pure maple syrup each just to cut a bit of the sweetness.  We had leftover iceberg lettuce from lettuce wraps so I made a simple salad, and some carrot sticks and dipped everything in ranch dressing.  Try this.  For reals.

Why hello there!

With pesky work out of the way, I've had time to sit back and realize how bare my walls were.  I give you:  Gallery Wall v.1.0

Pleased for the time being.  I'm thinking it's reading a little 'pink'-heavy and all together very feminine.  The ornate frames may not be helping with that.  Hammering all those nails sure is a good stress-reliever though.  I'll be playing around with changing out frames & art over the next little while.

Kitchen = Success!

To round out the week, I have the "after" photos from last weekends hard labour.

The organized and now well functioning pantry shelf including shameless free advertising for a long-time employer famous for khakis.

Newly installed shelving & towel bar to hold Ikea storage bins for our cutlery.  Also note, the wall is fully painted!  Pepper Tree by CIL.

The 2 most important appliances we own, now not filling up all our counter space.

Our old stove - it gets the job done.  Also, put up the spice rack so it too would not take up all our cupboard space.

Magnetic knife strip & chopping station set up.  Part of the vintage Pyrex collection proudly on display.

On the wishlist for my birthday, a new camera.  One I can take nice fancy pretty photos with.  Ebay here I come.
